Inspired by the great American flavours of the deep South and New York’s fiery street food, Byron Putney has joined forces with Brooklyn Brewery to create the Brooklyn Honey Hot Chick.
Available during September, this buttermilk fried chicken burger is drenched in a delicious honey, hot sauce and Brooklyn Defender beer glaze.
The Brooklyn Honey Hot Chick is the creation of competition winner, Omari Johnson-Bignell, of Byron’s Finchley Road restaurant. Byron held a competition, open to all employees, to create an American inspired burger. Omari’s winning recipe was inspired by his love of spicy food and the New York street food scene.
Omari worked with Byron’s Food and Drinks Director, Sophie Michell, to refine his winning recipe into a show-stopping special and the Brooklyn Honey Hot Chick burger was born!
The Brooklyn Honey Hot Chick: £14.95 – with fries or salad: Crispy, buttermilk fried chicken is drenched in honey hot sauce and Brooklyn Defender beer glaze, topped with bread and butter pickles, spicy sriracha mayo, creamy parmesan aioli and lettuce. Served in an extra squishy bun. Available for just four sweet weeks, 3rd September to 30th September.
