‘The treasure trove that is WAF‘ has put on two weeks worth of performances in Wandsworth during May, showcasing a programme packed with exciting performances and art shows, encouraging participation from different artists across all art forms.
Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, £10,000 worth of damage was made in one of WAF’s flagship venues, Fragility Takeover in the Putney Arches. Electrical equipment and theatre drapes which were loaned to the WAF by local supporters Putney Arts Theatre were vandalised. Luckily no one was harmed and WAF continued to put on all of their 14 scheduled performances.
Please visit their GoFundMe page to help raise funds for new equipment and uncut drapes, so that they can be returned to Putney Arts Theatre, as well as help pay their staff for the extra overtime they did to make sure the show went on. Charlie and Andrew from WAF said “any amount you can afford, especially if you are local and have enjoyed the positive impact we’ve been committed to making in your area, would be greatly appreciated”.
