Prudential RideLondon is a world-class festival of cycling which was developed by the Mayor of London in 2013. The sixth year of this event took place across London and Surrey over the weekend of 27th – 29th July 2018.
For Putney, the races pass down the High Street and over Putney Bridge in the final push to the finish line on Sunday, 29th July 2018. While the main roads are closed, spectators can watch from the pavement and enjoy everything Putney has to offer throughout the day.
The aim of RideLondon is to encourage more people to use a healthier and more active mode of transport rather than less environmentally friendly options. This is to improve air quality for London and other cities. It is anticipated that tens of thousands of spectators and participants will take up regular cycling after each event.
