Tell us about yourself, what your role is at Russell-Cooke and what you enjoy about working in Putney?

I’m Rob, originally from Ipswich (and a dedicated Ipswich Town supporter).  I’ve been a solicitor specialising in commercial property law for nearly 20 years and have been with Russell-Cooke for almost two years.

I work on a broad range of commercial property transactions acting for all sorts of businesses and individuals including property investors, occupiers, developers and funders. Putney is a super place to work.  It’s got some great places for entertaining clients, a stone’s throw from the river and is readily accessible to the centre of London.

What do you love most about Putney?

It’s London but without quite so much of the mayhem of being in the centre of the City.

Which is the first hospitality business you will be heading to when we are able to socialise again?

Well I must say my wife was very impressed with her anniversary present from the Bakehouse – they recreated the Bake Off Chocolate cake from the credits – so no doubt she’ll be tempting me out for a quick lunch in there. And Gazette for a nice client lunch.

Bakehouse not only have amazing bread but a selection of delectable cake & goodies!
Gazette serving delicious food for lunch and dinner. Both Bakehouse & Gazette are on Upper Richmond Road in Putney

Which shop in Putney have you missed visiting during lockdown?

As a lot of my time I’ve spent working from home, I’ve missed grabbing a sandwich from Pret and going for a lunchtime walk along the river.

One of the great benefits working in Putney is that you can grab a coffee in the town & have a walk along the river on your lunchtime
