Tell us about yourself and Homework.
I’m Zara Wech and I am the Head of HomeWork Putney. I am originally from New Zealand and moved to London back in August 2019.
What is HomeWork Workspace?
HomeWork Workspace is a flexible workspace and speciality coffee shop offering an alternative to working from home for those who live locally.
Why did you choose Putney for Homework?
When Co-Founders, Claire and Sam, first came up with the idea of HomeWork, they had recognised an opportunity in the market for a more localised workspace solution. Most co-working sites in London require long commutes to central locations and cater much better for SMEs than individuals. Our goal was to stand out from the crowd and offer something that no one had ever seen before. And well, with a vision of becoming the go to “next generation” workspace, we thought what better place to open our first site than in one of the busiest and well connected suburbs in South West London! At HomeWork, we are passionate about offering a space that is welcoming, affordable, flexible and close to home and being able to do all of this from 192 Upper Richmond Road is something we are very proud of.
What do you love most about Putney?
Putney has everything you need from the hustle and bustle of the high street, the convenience of having both the train and the tube close by and being so close to the river which I enjoy visiting during my lunch breaks. I also love our Putney community and working with Positively Putney to connect with other local businesses in the area.
Which is the first eatery you will be heading to when we are able to socialise again?
All of the pubs for a pint! Our friends at HomeSW15 for a chicken caesar salad and a cocktail or two.
Which shop in Putney have you missed visiting during lockdown?
I miss seeing all the beautiful flowers and plants around the corner at Dovers flowers.
Describe Putney in 3 words

How can people continue to support your business at the moment?
Unfortunately due to the current lockdown restrictions HomeWork is temporarily closed. However you can support us by following us on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn @homework_workspace where you can keep up to date with all things HomeWork. We can’t wait to reopen! On March 29th we will reopen the cafe, and April 12th plan to reopen the office space.
