Reopening Putney

The excitement in Putney is palpable this week as shops and businesses prepare to reopen safely under government guidelines for Step 2 of the roadmap out of lockdown. Businesses are preparing Putney to ensure customers and staff are all kept COVID safe as they are welcomed back.

We have seen many of our businesses in the town centre giving their store a spring clean, whether that’s a fresh lick of paint, re-designing their window displays down to completely redoing their patio! We have had the BID cleaning contractors working 5 nights pressure washing pavements and cleaning the high touches points.

Businesses have attended support calls with us and Wandsworth Council to ensure they are up to date on COVID safety measures such as face masks, COVID secure risk assessments and how to prepare their shop floor to enable customers to shop safely.

We have added new floor stickers for social distancing and queuing in the town centre.

Please see below by sector for businesses that reopen in Putney BID from 12th April – we look forward to welcoming everyone back, safely on Monday.

Pubs and Bars Outdoor Dining

The BID are providing many of our pubs with reusable cups, do make sure you take your litter home with you after enjoying takeaway drinks & food so we can keep Putney and parks clean to enjoy.
