About Positively Putney BID
Positively Putney Business Improvement District (BID) is business-led and business-funded, working to improve and promote Putney town centre as a place to live, work, visit and invest.
Positively Putney BID has been in operation since April 2017 with the aim of improving the trading conditions for the businesses who contribute a BID levy within a defined geographical location (shown in the map).
Positively Putney BID is the trading name for Putney BIDCo Ltd, a limited Company Registration No. 10231689 and operates under The Business Improvement Districts (England) Regulations 2004.
Positively Putney BID provides a strong influential collective voice for approximately 400 businesses and supports projects that invest in the development and promotion of the Putney BID area and businesses.
The levy paid per business 1.25% (1% for Putney Exchange tenants, and non-retail charities) of their rateable value based on the 2017 ratings list. In Putney, this will achieve an investment of £1.6 million over the five years from 2022 to 2027. This money will be spent within the BID boundary on the goals laid out by the business plan. Projects and services will all be additional to those provided by the local authority.
The work in Putney is split into three themes – Enhancing Putney, Promoting Putney and Supporting businesses. The current projects and services are listed under the three themes pages. We encourage all businesses to look through what’s on offer so that they can get maximum value from their BID levy.
