Engaging Roehampton Students at Freshers Fair

In spite of the adverse weather, hundreds of enthusiastic students faced the rain to attend Roehampton University Freshers’ Fair on the last Friday in September. We enjoyed showcasing our lively Putney town centre to the new students. Our ‘Spin the Wheel’ game for Putney merchandise proved to be a major attraction allowing us to highlight the numerous attractions that Putney provides. The interactive engagement will ensure that Putney remains a prominent choice for this energetic and youthful demographic.

We also introduced our Street Angel initiative, which was well received. Our incredible volunteer team, represented by Lorraine and Chris, explained how Street Angels provide assistance every Friday night in Putney town centre to those who require help. Many students expressed interest and signed up to receive more information about how to get involved and volunteer.

The Roehampton Freshers Fair is a key event in our calendar as Putney is the students nearest town centre and easy for them to get to via one bus. We are excited to welcome this year’s cohort of students into Putney. We hope to see them exploring the shops, cafes, and leisure activities that make our town centre a vibrant destination for all.
