Always looking for opportunities to increase greening in Putney town centre. Positively Putney maintain the parklets, permanent planters on Upper Richmond Road and Putney Bridge Road, on Church Square and the recently moved planters in locations on Putney High Street. These plants improve the look of the area as well as improving the air quality. We also maintain the 10 tiered planters to brighten up the town centre.
In the summer of 2024 and 2025 we installed 40 lamp wrap planters (similar to hanging baskets but easier to keep watered), and six large planters positioned at key locations of the town centre.
Positively Putney funded the installation of the parklet in Felsham Road (2020), Putney Bridge Road (2022), Lacy Road (2024). These break up the hard landscape and provides a space for people to sit, relax and eat their lunch.
