When the train pulls in at Avonlea station, the Cuthbert’s are expecting a boy to help on their farm but they are met with a small but smiling girl. Anne has bright red pigtails, a vivid imagination and a fiery spirit. She turns her new community on its head with her honesty, joy and infectious energy.
