Light in the Dark at BobCat Gallery

Pop-up art retailer BobCat Gallery will host a new exhibition of affordable, original artworks at Putney Exchange Shopping Centre between 7th – 30th January, hoping to bring a ray of light to the darkest time of the year.

Light in the Dark’ will share work from more than 50 international artists, featuring bright, bold and beautiful art to help banish any January blues. Participating artists have also been invited to demonstrate their techniques in the gallery space throughout the month, including painting, needlepoint tapestry and more.

Catherine Sweet, Founder of BobCat Gallery, says: “I’m very much looking forward to sharing this uplifting and inspiring collection – there are an incredible variety of techniques and subject matters included from some very talented creators. I hope that this show will provide a needed boost of serotonin while we wait for the days to get longer again!”

BobCat Gallery has been part of a gallery takeover of an empty unit at Putney Exchange since August, showcasing a changing roster of artists each month – including many from across the local area – with a focus on original artwork at affordable prices. The Gallery also currently supports three artists by providing accessible studio space on it’s premises.

Light in the Dark’ will be open Tuesday – Saturday between 10.30am – 6.30pm, and will be available to view by appointment on Mondays.

The private view will take place on Thursday 9th January between 6pm – 8pm, and free tickets are available via www.ticketsource.co.uk/bobcat-gallery
