Wandsworth Arts Fringe – JODY WARR;OR

Written and performed by performance poet jodY, WARR;OR is a jarring and vigorous autobiographical debut.

Seamlessly merging hard-edged drama with verse poetry, this autobiographical one-man play paints a vivid portrait of jodY’s lifelong battle with his mental health.

Confidently divulging his most personal memories, WARR;OR will take you on a journey through the performer’s former selves. From being a shy and vulnerable pre-teen grappling with the confusing nature of his learning diff-abilities, to a lonely skateboarding teenager, unintentionally experimenting with his sexuality, to his twenty-year-old self trying to understand the strengths and weaknesses of his neurodiversity, the trials and tribulations of love, and the violent traumas he witnessed growing up.

jodY dedicates WARR;OR to those with internal foes,

Battling demons that keep you at your lowest of lows,

Screaming words of torment longer than Plato’s scroll,

But strive to survive in this gruesome world,

By taking the cards they were dealt and refusing to fold,

The ones he calls warriors.
