This month people across the globe are getting involved in Plastic Free July, a campaign started by a group in Australia. Reusable Cups

This year, Positively Putney have provided 13,000 reusable cups to bars and pubs to tackle single-use plastics. Each cup can be washed and reused up to 50 times, significantly reducing plastic waste.

Coffee cups

Many Putney Coffee shops are offering money off or extra reward points when you bring your own reusable cup into the store. Coffee Shops include Pret with 50p off (pictured), Cafe Nero for double reward points and Greggs with 20p off.

Some are focusing more on using biodegradable materials such as Sandero Coffee and The Drop.

Plastic Free Shopping

The Source on Putney High Street is all about plastic free options. Most products sold are paid by weight encouraging you to only buy what you need. You can bring your own reusable bags to shop or use the paper bags provided, eliminating the need for single-use plastics.
