Winter Vigilance Campaign 2018 Security Checklist for Businesses
The Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Unit have created a checklist to assist businesses in the potential busy days of Black Friday, run up to Christmas and the New Year, ensuring that the right protective security measures are in place. This winter season, it has been advised to remain alert and help us all keep events and crowded places safe by being vigilant and reporting anything suspicious to police, members of staff or security personnel.
Putney’s nightlife is getting more and more popular with great new bars popping up all over town. Putney’s thriving night-time economy needs to be carefully managed through strategic planning and best practice.
Positively Putney is managing the Pubwatch scheme with quarterly meetings for all the businesses in the night-time economy. The meetings are attended by the Police Licensing Sergeant, the Football Public Disorder Officer and the local PC ward officers. The meeting allows for the discussion and dissemination of intelligence to assist tackling anti-social behaviour and other local issues.
The meetings are held quarterly and the next meeting will be on Wednesday 23rd January 2019, 10am at the Boathouse. For more information and minutes of previous meetings, email firstname.lastname@example.org or just come along.
Come along and hear about the recent crime spike and discuss how, together, we can reduce crime levels. All BID businesses are welcome to attend and you will be able to discuss any crime or anti-social behaviour related issues.
We launched Businesswatch with the Thamesfield Safer Neighbourhood and Wandsworth Council Community Safety team in June. The next meeting date is to be agreed.
