Brilliant Boat Race Weekend

The Boat Race

On Saturday 30th March 2024, Oxford and Cambridge battled it out in the 78th Women’s Race and the 169th Men’s Race. Cambridge won in both the Women’s and Men’s Races, watched on by thousands of spectators.

Urban Food Fest

This year, we welcomed the brilliant Urban Food Fest to Putney. There were Street Food stalls serving delicious cuisines from Greek Souvlaki to Argentinian Steak. Drinks were being served by Putney’s local bars and pubs, we particularly enjoyed Simmons ‘hook a duck’ game as well as Be At One‘s Oxford v Cambridge cocktail specials. The craft stalls were also very popular, with Camilla Charnock selling out of her Putney and Wandsworth Tea Towels!

Soaking in the Sunshine

March bought some bank holiday sunshine to boat race day which only enhanced the fantastic atmosphere on the day. From the Embankment to the High Street, people were enjoying all Putney had to offer. Congratulations again to Cambridge on their double victory. Scroll to view our gallery of the day’s events and don’t forget to #boatrace on instagram.
