Where to Eat, Shop & Celebrate Locally
Chinese New Year is just around the corner – a time of celebration, family, good fortune and, of course, incredible food. If you’re looking to mark the occasion locally, Putney has plenty of fantastic spots where you can get involved, from authentic dining experiences to takeaway treats and themed supermarket finds.

Welcoming a New Zodiac Year
As we say goodbye to the Year of the Snake, we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse – a zodiac sign associated with energy, passion and momentum.
In Chinese astrology, the Snake symbolises wisdom, intuition and transformation – a year often linked with reflection, strategy and personal growth. Moving into the Fire Horse shifts the energy dramatically. The Horse represents freedom, adventure and action, while the Fire element amplifies confidence, ambition and bold decision-making.
In short, it’s a year expected to feel fast-paced, dynamic and full of opportunity – perfect for new ventures, fresh starts and community celebration.
