Dog Friendly Putney

You can’t walk down the high street in Putney without spotting a fury friend. We’ve compiled a list best dog friendly places in Putney so that you can share your day with your dog without having to leave them behind at home.

Cafes

Putney has an abundance of coffee shops and cafes ready to welcome you and your dog. Harvey’s Bakehouse is super dog friendly and is even named after the owners pet pooch, who is often found lazing about inside on the weekends. Independents Putney Pantry, The Dynamo, The Savour, Blabar, Giuliano Deli-Cafe, Arise and Adada (pictured) also welcome dogs into their friendly cafes. Caffe Nero and Pret also allow pets in their Putney branches.

Shops

Of course Putney’s pet stores allow pets inside. Visit Pets at Home on Upper Richmond Road – you won’t be able to leave without buying something for your pet. Nestled at the bottom of the high street, Creatures of Putney also sell everything you could ever need for any pet, not just dogs. Both establishments also offer grooming services, so you can drop your doggy off and do a bit of shopping while you wait too. To clarify for many who have asked, The Putney Exchange only allows service dogs in their centers. Other shops that allow dogs inside are Sporting Feet on Lacy Road and Putney’s charity shops.

Pubs and Restaurants

Most Pubs are dog friendly nowadays and Putney is no exception. Well behaved dogs are welcome at The Fox & Hounds, The Boathouse, Dukes Head, The Bricklayer’s Arms, East Putney Tavern, Prince of Wales, Spotted Horse, The Railway and The Coat & Badge. While not all restaurants in Putney are pet friendly for various reasons, there are many that are. Gazette welcomes dogs as well as Putney Pies. Home SW15 allow dogs in the bar area.

Outdoors

Putney offers more than just dog friendly places to visit. Being right on the river means the Thames path is right near all these brilliant businesses. You’ve also got Leaders Gardens, Wandsworth Park and Putney Heath nearby too. So make a day of taking your dog out and popping into Putney for a much needed drink and a bite to eat.

We hope you now have a clearer picture of where you can take your dog in Putney. If you think we have missed any dog friendly establishments off this list, please email Fleur, Marketing@positivelyputney.co.uk and we will add it in.
