Step into a beautifully observed collection of local scenes, as artist Tushar Sabale presents a captivating solo exhibition at The Russell Gallery from 30 April – 23 May 2026.
This striking body of work brings together atmospheric paintings of Putney, the River Thames, and wider London, capturing the ever-changing light, movement and character of the city. Painted largely en plein air, Sabale’s work sits between Impressionism and Realism, with each piece offering a fresh, immediate response to the world around him.
From quiet riverside moments to vibrant urban scenes, the exhibition reflects the artist’s deep connection to London and his instinct for capturing fleeting moods and everyday beauty. His paintings invite viewers to pause and see familiar places in a new light—whether it’s the shimmer of the Thames, the rhythm of city streets, or the charm of local Putney scenes.
This is Sabale’s first solo show at the gallery, featuring oils inspired not only by London but also by locations such as Wales and Seville, adding a broader sense of journey to the collection.
Set just moments from the river, The Russell Gallery—known for showcasing high-quality contemporary British art—provides the perfect setting for this thoughtful and evocative exhibition.
