Leather or Vegan Leather Jewellery Workshop

Leather is a brilliantly versatile material to work with because it comes in so many colours, thicknesses and finishes. Plus you can get your green creds and buy secondhand leather clothes from charity shops, or have fun browsing Brick Lane Market for affordable and colourful pieces to work with.

On this workshop, we’ll show you how to work with leather, including cutting, painting, punching and more, then learn to combine that with jewellery making skills. Don’t worry if you’re new to jewellery design, there will be a big dash of inspiration from fantastic designer Melodie Telliez.

Melodie specialises in working with leather off cuts, and will show you her top tips for creating wonderful, unique and edgy jewellery with leather. You can use her templates or create your own designs, but you’ll leave with a wearable necklace and pair of earrings. It’s up to you if you want to be matchy matchy or make three totally different pieces. The earring hoops are silver for sensitive ears, and we’ll also have clip-on earrings and brooch options for those who don’t do big earrings

Join us for a creative evening making your own jewellery to reflect your own style, with lots of support and friendly chat.
