National Baking Week

Whether you are a keen baker or actively avoid the kitchen, there are many ways to get involved in national baking week from the 14th – 20th of October.

Buying Baked Goods

Head to one of Putney’s many cafés and bakeries for a sweet treat. We love the cinnamon buns from Blåbär – their baked goods have recently been featured in The Guardian . The Slices of cake at The Bakehouse can’t be beaten either. Have you tried the sourdough from Gails? It’s delicious.

All you need for at home Baking

In need of some new baking gadgets? Robert Dyas, Waitrose, Flying Tiger and Tkmaxx are filled with everything you need to get baking.

We love this silicone muffin tray from Flying Tiger – useful and it looks good too.

Recipes

We have discovered some amazing baking books in Putney including I’ll Bake! by Liberty Mendez in Waterstones and The Great British Bake Off: A Bake For All Seasons in The Works.

Did you know Gail’s has its very own cookbook? You can buy it in store.

What’s your favorite bake in Putney? Let us know by tagging a snap of you enjoying a treat on our socials with #loveputney.
