The day is all about encouraging Christmas shoppers to keep it local in the hope they will see and appreciate the unique lure of the shops in their area and become customers the whole year round. Small businesses and the people that run them have a unique place in local communities across the UK and wants to shine a light on the benefits of shopping small.
