The August Bank Holiday Weekend in Putney is always a fun celebration, offering a diverse range of events and activities to suit all tastes and ages. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor passing through, this is the perfect opportunity to soak in the last rays of summer.
Food and Drink
During the bank holiday weekend, there is always plenty of food and drink to be enjoyed. Head to Holy Cow for delicious Indian Cuisine – They are currently offering a 4 course meal for £25 per person (valid until 31st August). Alternatively, Pata Negra serves delicious tapas as well as hosting live flamenco shows every Friday and Saturday night. The weather might be warm but it wouldn’t be a bank holiday without a traditional Sunday roast, we recommend trying The Boathouse or The Dukes Head.
Live Music and Events
Local venues are open for their annual bank holiday specials including Le Fez, with their Bank Holiday club night. Putney Pies have set up a weekend to remember with DJs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Family Fun
There are always things to do in Putney for the whole family. The weather is set to be sunny but that’s no reason not to visit an air-conditioned Odeon Cinema. Jungle Rumble and Pitter Potter are always a fun afternoon out.
