We are proud to have so many independent shops in Putney and as Independents Day UK weekend draws closer (2-3 July 2022), we thought it fitting to highlight some of the best in Putney.
Unsurprisingly, a recent survey of Putney residents revealed that local residents want more independent shops. Quirky, original and a joy to browse in; independent shops are the lifeblood of our high streets. You obviously have your favourites but here are some for you to check out:
Blåbär
Being a Blåbär in Swedish means being a beginner, new at something, and that described Sandra and Oli pretty well back in 2016 when they launched into this adventure. Blåbär offers a selection of handpicked products from new Nordic designers.

Huttons
Huttons began its journey in1996 in Putney, London. Having travelled to Mexico in search of unusual homeware, Mark Hutton returned with his purchases and opened his first store selling ceramics and furniture complimented with Colombian pottery. The brand has developed over the years offering greeting cards, candles and clothing. Many of the products are sourced from around the world in the continued pursuit of the unusual.

Artisans of Sardinia prides itself on cooking fresh dishes using local and organic produce. With their pasta and bread freshly made each day, the restaurant lets itself get inspired by the seasons to consistently create menus and approach traditional Sardinian cooking with an open mind.
