Putney Businesses reducing their impact on the climate – Business Climate Challenge

Fourteen businesses in Putney have joined the Business Climate Challenge (BCC). Funded by the Mayor of London in partnership with Positively Putney, the BCC is a voluntary energy efficiency programme developed to support businesses in reducing their energy consumption, costs and carbon emissions.

Participating businesses are receiving customised technical advice to help make their workplaces more energy efficient.  Participants pledge to reduce their energy consumption by 10% in the year and to help them do this they receive a package of bespoke technical support from an energy consulting firm. The package includes a workplace audit and Display Energy Certificate (DEC), a recommendation report with energy efficiency measures to reduce energy consumption, a roadmap to net zero as well as individual one-to-one support and group training sessions.

The businesses in Putney who have joined the programme are the following:

Cobalt Sky, Sporting Feet, Homework Workspace, St Christopher’s fellowship, Putney hotel, Gibson & Young solicitors, Get Set Go Swim, Morrows Outfitters, Putney Arts Theatre, Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf, Crossfit Putney, New Putney Hardware, Dynamo, Putney Plaza – PWB property.

We are thankful that these businesses are prioritising how they can reduce their impact on the climate. They are currently working through their energy audits, and we look forward to hearing the ways they are saving their energy usage soon.

Positively Putney BID were one of nine partner organisations that the Mayor of London partnered with to offer this great programme to businesses across London.
