After five weeks of people from all over London voting for their favourite restaurants, bars, shops, parks and other local spots. After an astonishing 65,033 votes that were cast, Time Out London have finally revealed the results. We have sourced the most loved locals in Putney and some of our favourite local businesses have picked up a Time Out Love London Award!
Our winner for the most loved restaurant went to Kashmir Restaurant. You can find them tucked along Lacy Road just off of Putney High Street, where they serve north-Indian and tandoori dishes. Kashmir Restaurant said to Time Out “With several years of experience this is an honest endeavour to bring to you true Indian food with all the flavours and not just spices – cooked the original way, without the use of any colours or MSG”. Time Out described the restaurant as “bright and modern” but to not “expect vindaloos or jalfrezis” and that “true to their promise, the dishes are only those from cool, northern Kashmir. They’re mild, heavy on fruit, nuts and cheese, reliant on herbs and dry spices for their exquisite flavour”. You can find out more about their menus and special offers on their website.
Putney’s runner up for most loved restaurant and coffee place in the area went to Dynamo Restaurant. A cycle restaurant and cafe that offers pizzas and brunch, Dynamo also hold events and workshops which you are able to find out more about on their website. Time Out said that “the kitchen is a winner, and the space is smart” and that “the kitchen does thoughtfully enhanced versions of brunch faves: creamy, sticky ‘100-mile’ porridge packed with mashed banana, date syrup, crunchy seeds and a vanilla hit of cocoa nibs; avo and poached eggs on sourdough toast” and that the pizzas “are made with obvious care”.
Congratulations to all the winners and runners up of the Time Out London Awards 2018. You can find out more about other winners in Putney here. Don’t forget to pop along to Putney and explore our restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs on our business directory.
