This summer, the streets of Putney are bursting with colour as visitors are invited to take a trip Around the World in Putney.

In partnership with artist Alessandra Tortone, Positively Putney has transformed 25 business windows across the town centre into a vibrant celebration of the 2026 World Cup. Inspired by countries competing in this year’s tournament, each hand-painted window showcases the spirit, culture and creativity of nations from across the globe, bringing an international festival atmosphere right to the heart of Putney.
From bold colours and iconic landmarks to football-inspired designs and cultural motifs, every stop on the trail offers something unique to discover. Whether you’re strolling through the high street, grabbing a coffee or shopping locally, there’s a new surprise waiting around every corner.
Families are encouraged to join the adventure by taking part in a special mascot hunt hidden amongst the trail. Pick up your postcard from Putney Library or Putney Exchange Shopping Centre garden, then keep your eyes peeled for three World Cup mascots tucked away in the artwork: a Canadian moose, a Mexican jaguar and an American bald eagle. Once you’ve counted all three and filled out your postcard, head to the final stop at Putney Library to collect a special goodie bag.
The trail is designed to encourage visitors to explore the town centre, support local businesses and celebrate the diversity and community spirit that makes Putney so special. It’s a perfect free summer activity for families, football fans and anyone looking to experience Putney in a new and colourful way.
