Details for Putney’s Amazing August events for each day

Thursday 7th August

12.15pm-1pm – Free reformer class at Studio Pilates.14 years plus. Studio Pilates Experience an introductory Reformer Pilates workout – designed for all fitness levels and body types! Whether you’re new to Pilates or an experienced mover, our expert instructors will personalise your session with tailored modifications and spring resistance to suit your individual needs. From 7.30pm – Traditional Irish music at The Bricklayer’s Arms. Join James Carty and friends for a trad session to remember. No need to book – come early for a seat!

Friday 8th August

11am-5pm – Sock designing competition at Morrows. Join the fun at Morrows sock shop designing the most brilliant pair of socks you have ever seen. Winner wins a very special prize so get your designing caps on. Free event, no booking necessary.

10am-4pm – WEX Roadshow 2025 at Wex Photo Video. What to expect:Try the latest gear, exclusive one-day offers, expert advice & support, gift for early buyers and even a prize draw! Saturday 9th August

2-5pm – Guacamole workshop at Chipotle. Come along to Chipotle to learn how their famous guacamole is made. Guacamole demonstrations will take place at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. You are then welcome to dine at Chipotle with the ‘Free kids meal for every Main meal purchased’. If you cannot make the workshop, do not worry, take advantage of the special one-day promotion instead!

9.00am -11.30am – Vinyasa flow yoga class at Phoenix Yoga. Class is 18+ and suitable for all levels. You can expect a gentle yoga class focusing on movement and mindfulness. Due to poular demand the 9am class has sold out. Phoenix have now opened a second slot at 10.30am. Book your spot here

Sunday 10th August

1-2pm Street Opera Performance at Putney Library/Spotted Horse/Waterstones. The Elixir of Love (Re‑imagined) Street Opera Performance is appropriate for all ages. Baseless Fabric Theatre is bringing Donizetti’s beloved comedy to life in a brand-new adaptation. The Elixir of Love (Re‑imagined) is a short, sweet, and playful modern rom-com, set against the pulse of London’s high streets. Monday 11th August

From 5pm – Free drink with Scrappy Eats at Home SW15. Quote ‘Love Putney’ after booking the much love Scrappy Eats at the most award winning restaurant in Putney! Home SW15 has the perfect summer food and drinks to show off about, so we’ll let them boast… Menus here.

10am-4pm – Lino printing day at Putney School of Art and Design. The course will cover the creation of your design, colour mixing and finishing to a professional standard whilst exploring relief printing using lino blocks in just one day. The workshop begins with the basic techniques through planning your design, creating your linocut block, mixing colours and printing onto a range of paper. Beginners and experienced artists welcome. Tuesday 12th August

11am-12pm – £5 swimming lessons at Get Set Go. Come try Putney’s best swimming instructors at Get Set Go on Upper Richmond Road. 11-11.30 ages 3-5 and 11.30-12 ages 6-8. Book now by calling 020 8050 0070 (ext 1) to avoid missing out!

From 2pm – Board games for all at Prince of Wales. Head to the Prince of Wales on Upper Richmond Road for an afternoon of board game fun for all ages!

Monday 11th – Sunday 17th August

Pip Organic x Positively Putney: The Fruity Adventure! 

These school holidays, grab your Pip Organic stamp booklet and join the Fruit-tastic Fun Trail around Putney! We’ve teamed up with Positively Putney to bring you a juicy adventure  pop into select cafés, and collect fruity stamps along the way! Collect your map from Waitrose in The Exchange to complete the trail.

Fill your sheet with enough stamps and you’ll unlock a delicious Pip-tastic goodie bag bursting with organic treats and surprise goodies! This is located at Arise on Upper Richmond Road.

It’s a fruity, feel-good mission for mini explorers – so pack your Pip stamp card and let the stamping- Pip Pip Hooray!

Wednesday 13th August

10.30am-12pm – Illustration Workshop at Putney Library. Learn how to create your own characters in this interactive workshop. Parents/carers please stay with your children. Materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring your favorite pen/pencils! Booking is essential. Book your place with library staff or email Putney.library@gll.org or call 020 8780 3085.

7-9pm – Sip, paint and create session at Studio Art Café. During the session, you’ll create your own painted canvas to take home. We offer a range of themes to choose from whether you want to paint flowers, create your own fruit-themed artwork, or try out 3D mixed media art, it’s all available. Simply book your Sip & Paint slot, and on the evening, you can decide which theme you’d like to work on. No experience needed. Just come along, enjoy the process, and get creative!

Thursday 14th August

5.30pm – 5km fun run at Sporting Feet. Grab your running shoes and head on down to Sporting Feet on Lacy Road (just off the high street). The team there will take you on a 5km fun run of Putney with beautiful views along the river and idyllic residential streets. Book your place here.

10pm-4am – A level results party at Le Fez. Free Entry until midnight. 50% off drinks 10pm-midnight. Book tickets here.

Friday 15th August

From 10pm – Live music at The Railway.

1-3pm – Mochi making workshop at Tsuki Ramen. Come join us at Tsuki Ramen for a fun and interactive mochi making event! Open to children for 5 onwards and adults alike. Tickets only £10! For more info and to book click here.

Saturday 16th August

12pm-2pm – Expressive Needlepoint Tapestry Workshop at BobCat Gallery. Age 12+ (Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult). Sunday 17th August

2-4pm – Face painting at McDonalds. Free event, no booking required. Get down to McDonalds on the high street to transform into a lion, unicorn, or let your imagination run wild.

Tuesday 19th August

Friday 29th August

9.30-10.30am – Little eyes, big fun at Specsavers. A free goody bag along with arts & crafts, a scavenger hunt and a glasses cleaning demo. An hour packed full of learning and fun at Specsavers. No need to book, just come along!

9pm – Live music at East Putney Tavern. Tony Bowen is an excellent singer songwriter performing the likes of James Bay to James Brown, Jack White to Jack Black, George Ezra to George Michael, Kings Of Leon to Queen. He really does do it all! Get down to the EPT for a pint and a great time.

Saturday 30th August

10am-3pm – Badge Brunch at The Coat and Badge. Whether you’re a classic bruncher who likes a good old Egg’s Benedict or someone who prefers something more interesting with a Badge Brunch Muffin (hot honey chicken, smashed tater tot patty, parmesan, harissa mayo), get yourself down to Coat and Badge for your brunch of dreams.
